NYC-DSA’s Tax the Rich and Our Time kick off a field campaign to knock doors for universal child care and a state budget that improves the lives of millions of New Yorkers.

Over 700 canvassers across eighteen locations will knock 20,000 doors and reach 45,000 New Yorkers.

NEW YORK, NY (NOVEMBER 13, 2025) – This weekend, New York City Democratic Socialists of America (NYC-DSA) and Our Time are collaborating to win the affordability agenda that resonated with over 1 million New Yorkers. Volunteers will canvass across the city to engage New Yorkers and build support for a key plank of the affordability agenda: free, universal child care by taxing the rich.

WHAT: Tax the Rich x Our Time Universal Child Care Field Launch

WHEN: Saturday, December 13, 2025, 12 pm EST

WHERE: Canvass locations include:

  • Crown Heights, Brooklyn: Brower Park, Brooklyn Ave &, Prospect Pl
  • Lower East Side, Manhattan: Seward Park, E Broadway & Jefferson St
  • Jackson Heights, Queens: Travers Park, 76-09 34th Ave
