MEDIA ADVISORY: Hundreds to rally this Sunday for critical legislation protecting New Yorkers from ICE

What: Rally to pressure Governor Hochul to pass NY4All (A3506/S2235) & Dignity Not Detention (A4181/S316) in full 

Where: Governor Kathy Hochul’s Midtown Office, 919 Third Ave

When: Sunday March 22nd at 12 pm

Who: Cosponsors: NYC-DSA, Make the Road NY, JFREJ, UAW, Feminist Generation Flushing. Rally program includes: Assembly Members Marcela Mitaynes, Phara Souffrant Forrest and Diana Moreno, Council Member Alexa Aviles, Eli Northrup, Sam Kattan, and Yuh-line Niou.

Why: Immigrants are under attack in New York and around the country. Our state legislature has an obligation to do everything it can to meet the moment and protect immigrant New Yorkers. We know the legislature and Governor are working to pass immigration-related legislation. We must rally together to send a message that these bills can not be watered down, and must be passed in their full original language. Our immigrant neighbors can’t live and thrive in New York with half measures. We need an end to NY’s collaboration with ICE and an end to immigrant detention in New York.
