TUESDAY: 150+ NEW YORKERS, FAMILIES, CHILDREN PROTEST AT REP. JERRY NADLER’S OFFICE CALLING FOR IMMEDIATE GAZA CEASEFIRE
Residents of New York’s 12th Congressional district will gather to mourn the deaths of Palestinians and Israelis, and demand that Rep. Nadler (D/NY-12) call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
New York, NY (November 21, 2023) –
WHO: 150 voters & constituents of Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) – including children & families, Jews & Muslims
WHEN: Tuesday, November 21st at 8:30AM
WHERE: Rep. Jerry Nadler’s Office, 120 Varick Street, New York, NY 10014
WHAT: Constituents of Jerry Nadler will gather to remember the Palestinians and Israelis killed, mourn their deaths, and urge their representative to join multiple fellow members of the New York Congressional delegation and call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Constituents will invite Representative Nadler to add his voice to the tens of thousands of New Yorkers calling for a ceasefire .
For the last month, tens of thousands of New Yorkers have been demanding that our representatives call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. After 1,400 Israeli deaths and more than 11,000 Palestinian deaths — an unspeakable toll that mounts each day the U.S. continues funding and fueling these atrocities — Rep. Nadler has yet to call for a ceasefire.
An immediate ceasefire is the only way to save the lives of 2.3 million Palestinians and 240 Israeli hostages.
This protest comes at a time of growing popular US demand for a ceasefire, and a skyrocketing Palestinian death toll. Since October 7, over 12,000 Palestinians have been killed, over 4,000 of those children, in nonstop airstrikes. The mounting death toll still remains unclear, with countless more Palestinians trapped and crushed under the rubble of bombed buildings.
