TODAY: 60+ JEWISH, MUSLIM, CHRISTIAN, AND BUDDHIST LEADERS FROM ACROSS NYC DELIVER LETTERS TO SEN. GILLIBRAND AND SEN. SCHUMER URGING A PERMANENT CEASEFIRE IN GAZA

New York City’s religious leaders call on Sen. Schumer, Sen. Gillibrand, and the NYC federal delegation urging a permanent ceasefire, an end to Israel’s blockade on humanitarian aid into Gaza, and the safe return of all hostages

NEW YORK, N.Y. — On Monday, a multi-faith coalition of New York City’s religious leaders will rally at Senator Schumer and Senator Gillibrand’s New York City offices to demand a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. As part of a nationwide day of action of Christians for a Free Palestine, Christian faith leaders in New York City will be joined by Jewish, Muslim, and Buddhist faith leaders to deliver letters from more than 60 NYC faith leaders urging their federal representatives — Sen. Chuck Schumer, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, Rep. Dan Goldman, Rep. Jerry Nadler, Rep. Yvette Clarke, Rep. Grace Meng, and Rep. Adriano Espaillat — to call for a permanent ceasefire. These faith leaders will make the moral argument for a permanent ceasefire, an end to Israel’s blockade on humanitarian aid into Gaza, and the safe return of all hostages.

WHO: Several faith leaders from New York City’s religious institutions will deliver letters from more than 60 NYC clergy demanding a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. Faith leaders in attendance on Monday include (list in formation):
