TODAY: 1000+ TO ATTEND BIDEN PROTEST FOR CEASEFIRE IN GAZA
Protesters demand that President Joe Biden immediately call for a ceasefire to prevent further loss of life and say no to US military aid for Israel
New York, NY–Today, over 1,000 New Yorkers will rally in Columbus Circle to condemn President Joe Biden’s ongoing support of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. As the civilian death toll rises to 27,478 Palestinians killed and with more than 80% of Gaza’s residents displaced, Biden has come to New York City to fundraise for his re-election campaign while ignoring the 80% of Democrats calling for a ceasefire and a de-escalation of violence in Gaza. New Yorkers SAY NO MONEY FOR MASSACRES! Permanent Ceasefire Now!
Our multi-racial and multi-faith coalition of New Yorkers call on all people of conscience to join us in demanding a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to US funding for Israel’s war crimes. An immediate ceasefire is the only way to end mass civilian death, bring hostages and prisoners home, and deliver the humanitarian aid Gaza desperately needs.
In poll after poll and demonstration after demonstration, New Yorkers have shown they do NOT want their tax dollars bankrolling Israel’s crimes. New Yorkers want a society that provides good jobs, reliable transit, well-funded schools, and healthcare for everyone—not one that makes bombs and sends money to destroy hospitals and slaughter Palestinian families. Just this week, Biden is pushing Congress to pass $14.1 billion in additional funding for the Israeli military. New Yorkers SAY NO MONEY FOR MASSACRES! Permanent Ceasefire Now!
